Stephane Fellah 5年 前 Of course RDF is meaningless. Meaning comes from ontologies, not RDF. RDF is a way to represent the information in a unified way. Ontology (OWL, RDF Schema) defines the logic for interpretation of the semantics of the data. 返信 10 次として送信する: キャンセル Troy A. Griffitts Stephane Fellah 5年 前 - 編集済み Hi Stephane, Of course. Thank you for the comment. I think we agree. Saying that RDF allows interoperability is like saying that XML allows interoperability. It doesn't. Saying that TEI allows interoperability is getting closer to saying that ontologies allow interoperability, but still, it mostly doesn't. Approaching a political agreement to use a strict definition of how to apply the TEI-- like EpiDoc attempts to do, or how to strictly apply all the elements of an ontology, approaches interoperability. In the end, publicly available datasets and tools which conform to these strict definitions is the goal and a proper definition of interoperability, and stopping at RDF, you and I both agree is not even close to this goal. Thank you for your comment. I've updated the post slightly to include vocabularies and ontologies. 返信 00 次として送信する: キャンセル
